Jumpstart Program
Accelerating young professionals into the workforce
The Jumpstart Program is an initiative of United for Women Empowerment (U4WE) designed to equip Haitian youth with the practical skills needed to enter and succeed in the professional world.
In a context marked by prolonged economic crisis, political instability, accelerating brain drain, and weakened educational institutions, Haiti faces a critical challenge: preparing its young workforce.
Each year, thousands of graduates enter the job market without mastering the essential workplace competencies expected by employers. The gap between academic training and professional reality limits performance, delays employment, and weakens national productivity.
Jumpstart was created to close that gap.
Our Mission
To strengthen the employability of young Haitian professionals by providing immediately transferable workplace skills.
Jumpstart aims to:
- Bridge the gap between academic education and professional reality
- Develop life skills and strong professional ethics
- Build confidence and workplace performance
- Improve the quality of national human capital
- Promote economic autonomy among youth
Aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education
Jumpstart directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 by expanding access to inclusive, practical, employment-oriented training.
